Cities and Sustainable Development

The opportunity: the world is rapidly urbanising with some 75% of global population projected to be city dwellers over the next 30 years. Cities are the engine-house of the global economy with the world's metro-regions generating some 80% of the world's wealth while occupying 2% of the worlds surface.

Whether it is new city masterplans, low carbon urban transformation programmes or precinct scale developments, we have extensive experience in formulating strategic responses to urban growth challenges, ranging from policy development to efficiency programmes based on the principles of the circular economy, to demonstration best practice sustainable development pilots and projects.

We focus on strategic planning led approaches to de-risking investment, creating and sharing wider economic benefits and social value.

What we do: we work at early stages of project inception, making the strategic case and supporting the outline business cases, engaging with government and private sector stakeholders, and developing visioning processes and shaping the delivery frameworks and briefs that guide detailed execution and delivery.

Our Experience: our experience ranges from leading zero carbon city development in the middle East, to urban transformation and growth plans for emerging cities in Africa, to low carbon transformation plans for mature European cities and rapidly growing cities in Asia.

Peter's leadership, vision, credibility and his ability to drive business development and build the right relationships will be crucial to the success of our programme... There are very few people who make the positive type of impact I've seen Peter make
